The assholes and dictators club Arab League summit that was held in Sudan (Darfur, anyone? No? Ok!) was very interesting and very funny. Those people are so useless and unable to do anything constructive that I am just wondering why the hell do they bother with this charade. First they all agreed that in order to oppose the western zionist hegomony they will pledge aid to the Hamas palestinian government with an amount that is 1/3 what that government needs in order to oppose the western zionist hegemony. What about the other 2/3 you league of arab nationislitc heroes? Ehh, don’t ask us. It’s not like we are arab countries with tons of money or anything.
Then came the issue of Iraq, where they again were met with 2 contradictory requests: The Iraqi delegate, who bitchslapped them over their lack of support so hard you would’ve thought they were toothless crackwhores, and their old friend Saddam Hussein, who asked them to support the insurgency, even in secret. The best part of Saddam’s letter was the Christian american jewish zionist plan of dividing up the middle east. You want to know what your zionist overlords plan to do americans? Here is the plan in a nutshell:
The letter said the turmoil in Iraq “is not an accident or the result of mistakes made by the U.S. administration … These are interconnected steps whose final goal is to split Iraq into three states” — Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish.
After dividing Iraq, the United States will carve up Saudi Arabia, Syria and Sudan, then establish a Palestinian homeland in Jordan and western Iraq, the letter said. That would let the U.S. control oil in the Arab world and Israel take over the West Bank, emptied of Palestinians, it said.
But, on the bright side, The Palestinians will have their own country and nothing will happen to Egypt! Good plan!
The best part was their reaction to Israel’s decision to unilaterlay draw its own borders. Their position? They rejected it. They rejected it hard. So whatchu gonna do about it big boy? Nothing. We will just reject it. This is what we do. We reject, and we oppose, and we talk and do nothing. After all, we are the arab league. Talking shit and doing nothing is our thing. It’s what we do.
My dear Pan-arabists: This is what’s left of Pan-arabism. Take a good look, recognize that it is DEAD and Let it go. And while you are at it, shut the Arab League down as well. It’s a waste of time and money, and it does nothing. It’s time to kill it.

Not many people know that the Arab League was co-founded by the most powerful Arab in the Nazi regime, Amin Al Husseini.
You can go to tellthechildrenthetruth.com for wonderful pictures of Amin meeting with Hitler, leading Arab SS armies into genocidal campaigns, and showing off his Swastika - Sword flag.
He is also Arafat’s boss/mentor, a leading founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and put the gold film on the Dome of the Rock in 1922 thus making Jerusalem far more important in Islamic ideology.

As long as we’re shutting down the Arab League, can we do something about the UN as well? They’ve repeatedly proven their irrelevance and inability to handle most global issues effectively, I think. Condemning Denmark for the cartoon controversy was only the latest icing on their very stale cake. Who needs ‘em?

Good post, as usual. Although you forgot to mention that Kaddafi usually makes terrific appearences at the Arab League.
You can consider the Arab League to be a music festival, where all the bands are quite bad and tone deaf, until Kaddafi comes on-stage.
I also have a recollection of his saying that the Hamas and others murder Israelis and that this must make Sharon happy, because it lets him do a, or b, or c. I find that disgusting, but at least, (am %99 sure of this), he actually dared to use the word “murder” in relation to Hamas blowing up Israeli civilians.
The BBC edited Kaddafi’s speech extensively, while keeping it in quotes (making it appear as tho’ they’re transcribing his words verbatim). They removed the word “murder” and added some extra words into his speech, to make it more politically correct lol!

These “country clubs” never work out, whether they were borne out of good intentions (the UN) or not (the Arab League?). They always become corrupt and bloated with bureacratic impotence. Tell me what on earth was wrong with good, old-fashioned diplomacy? I’m with Thomas Jefferson when he said, “Friendship with all; entangling alliances with none!”

as a matter of fact the u.n. does inestimable work in the areas of development etc. it’s not their fault that their resolutuions are ignored by those who consented to uphold them, or that their only binding body is hampered by the veto power of the 5 permanent members. plus the United States owes millions in back fees.
Maybe Pan-Arabism would have worked it they got around to it instead of the song and dance routine and that frequent in council attempted assaults.

Yeah, it’s weird how Khaddafy could actually leave (from this point on) a positive legacy, but he’s just another tin-pot dictator at heart. He could put his money into desertification, modernizing the economy, staying out of other fights; basically making it so “Libya” doesn’t have that “Bulgaria” connotation.
