The following are 2 videos taken by camera phones from inside an egyptian police station. If you want to see for yourself how well our Police treats those in its custody go here and here . I have seen the first video before, alongside this other camera phone video- that I should get and upload- of an egyptian police officer holding a female suspect by her hair and beating her with a huge stick while she screams and tries to get away infront of other women. This is the stuff that happens in police offices, so imagine what goes on inside police holding cells or prison for that matter.

I hate that my first comment after being a long reader and admirer to your blog would disappoint you, but as a matter of fact, I truly believe that this is the only way to deal with a great number of criminals in Egypt. Having true democracy in this country will lead to nothing but its end.

Pretty underwhelming to this white dude and I’m sure a lot of black Afrimericans would laugh their asses off at anybody getting their dander up over this. The woman getting beaten would get a bigger rise than these two pieces.

This is so sad. That kind of thing really breaks my heart, and what you showed is nothing comparing to the other abuses they get.
What is up with the guy holding books on his head in the second video?
I have so much to say about that type of thing in Tunisia, but I hold myself from posting it because some Tunisians look at my blog .I don’t want it to be censored there.
Hopefully the authorities will not follow me here since they are too busy talking about Star Academy ( The Arab” American Idol”),Roubi, Nancy Ajram, Alissa …
I know someone in Tunisia who got stuck in official traffic because our president was in the area. He was talking in his cell, and said to the person he was talking to ” I am going to be late because our ass of a president is around.”
He was arrested!
We have many Tunisians in prison because of political statements. I also heard that they get abused, get their nails taken off…
I am very happy for the internet, digital cameras in phones etc…so people can have an idea about what is going on in the world.
