Egypt Prison authroities crack down on Hunger strikers

Posted on Wednesday 31 May 2006

Un-fuckin-believeable :

The Prison authorities cracked down on the hunger-striking detainees in Tora, as the strike escalated, with 13 activists in total taking action on its second day.

The strike started on Saturday night/Sunday morning, with six detainees
in Mahkoum Tora, refusing to eat. The prisoners, according to activist
and legal sources, made it clear to the prison authorities the strike
was not directed against them, but against State Security’s brutal
treatment of Mohamed el-Sharqawi, demanding his medical examination, an investigation into to the torture incident, and the release of all pro-judges detainees.

“By torturing Sharqawi,” detainee Wael Khalil was quoted by an
activist who visited him today, “State Security was sending a message
to us ‘This is what awaits you if you decide to take to the streets
again after your release.’”

Sharkawy, in case you don't remember, is the guy they did this to. And it seems that they are on a roll.

The prison authorities on the first day of the hunger strike, moved the six detainees into solitary confinement cells.

The Mahkoum Tora “is an old prison. These solitary confinement cells
do not meet the legal standards specified by human rights treaties,”
the detainees’ lawyer Gamal Eid said. “The ventilation is horrible. There is no water, no toilets.” Kamal Khalil, director of the Center for Socialist Studies who’s suffering from respiratory problems, was transferred to the prison hospital yesterday, Eid added.

[…]

Since there were only 10 solitary confinement cells in Mahkoum Tora,
the first three above-mentioned prisoners were moved to another prison
complex, said to be Mazra3et Tora.

As for Sharkawy..

According to Eid and an activist source, Sharqawi’s health is still in
a critical level, suffering from unbearable chest pains. Eid said
however, the authorities finally transferred his detained client to the
forensic medical department on Sunday, and provided basic medical
treatment at the prison hospital yesterday.

Sigh…

Hamas Security Chief is calling the US government a terrorist government, and has a very nice message to the american people: We love it when your soldiers die!

"The American government and people will pay a dear price for this
aggressive and criminal policy against the Arab and Muslim people," he
said.

 […]

"We are happy when any American soldier is killed anywhere in the
world, because the American Army is an aggressor against all the people
in the world, particularly the Arab and Muslim worlds," he said. "The
American people are known to be peaceful, so they are asked to move to
bring down this terrorist government in Washington, so that the
American people are safe from any attacks or retaliation."

Nice guy!

The Pro-Pedophelia Party

Posted on Wednesday 31 May 2006

Ok, now I have seen everything :

Pro-paedophile activists have established a new political party in
the Netherlands to campaign for the legalisation of sex between adults
and children.

"Ten years ago we were 'on speaking terms' with society. But since
[Belgian paedophile killer] Marc Dutroux there is no more discussion.
All paedophiles are being put in the same box. We are being hushed up,"
Ad van den Berg, the co-founder of the NVD party, told newspaper 'AD'.

Oh, poor opressed pedophiles. Everyone is so intolerant about your deisre to have sex with children. What a cruel world you must live in!

The NVD, which is being officially launched on Wednesday, will lobby
for a reduction in the age of consent in the Netherlands from 16 to 12
and then phased out completely over time.

And one day, God willing, 60 year old men will be able to have anal sex with 3 year old girls. Old enough to pee, old enough for me, right?

The party's full name is 'Naastenliefde, Vrijheid en Diversiteit
(NVD). Naastenliefde can mean love of one's neighbour or charity, while
Vrijheid  en Diversiteit mean freedom and Diversity.

The Love, Freedom and Diversity party. Nice, ehh? Wanna know about their other goals?

The NVD will also wants to make it legal to possess child
pornography and a reduction in the minimum age to feature in porn from
18 to 16. An initial media report that the party wanted the age
restriction lowered to 12 was corrected in later reports.

NAMBLA must be very jealous, and talking about the opressive American society right about now.

Sick Fuckers!

A french rapper is facing jail for saying naughty things in one of his rap songs. France is reliving the US 80's it seems (Remember "Me so Honry"? Me so Horny,  Me. Me.. so horny. Me so horny, me love you long time! sing along now!):

One of France's most popular rappers will appear in court today charged
with offending public decency with a song in which he referred to
France as a "slut" and vowed to "piss" on Napoleon and Charles de
Gaulle. Monsieur R, whose real name is Richard Makela, could face three
years in prison or a €75,000 (£51,000) fine after an MP from the ruling
UMP party launched legal action against him over his album Politikment
Incorrekt.

In the video for the song FranSSe, Makela, 30, appeared dressed as a
gendarme with two naked women rubbing against the French flag as he
rapped: "France is a bitch, don't forget to fuck her till she's
exhausted/You have to treat her like a slut, man."

LOL.

So much for Liberté!

4 million people dead

Posted on Tuesday 30 May 2006

It is dubbed the deadliest war in the world , killed 4 million people over the past 8 years, and yet none of us really cares about it or sees it anywhere on the news. I guess if the US is not involved somehow, no one cares about the atrocities of war or the amount of people dying! When was the last ANSWER demo against this war? When was the last event of the Stop the War coalition? Where is the outrage?

Hmmm…

We have the worst themepark in the world here in Egypt

Posted on Tuesday 30 May 2006

Those people have the pictures and the story to prove it!

Moneyshot:

Anyway We finally found the park and it was the worst run park I have ever been
to. On the net I had found that the entry fee was 7 Egyptian Pounds, around $1.50. However when I got there they said it was 13 Pounds. I went
back to the car as or whole group was going to go in, but when we got
back to the pay window it was now 30 Pounds each, Anyway, I decided to go in on
my own to get some photos. One thing to note was that when I
paid my 30 Pounds I was actually given 3 tickets with 10 Pounds written on them,

something tells me I was ripped off. lol

How typical and classic is that? Welcome to Egypt my friend! :)

Guess we are all liars now

Posted on Monday 29 May 2006

Fellow egyptian bloggers, I hate to inform you that our collective lies and deceit and defamation of Egypt's reputation on behalf of our zionist/american/MB/ satanic/Ricky-Martin-loving overlords has been exposed by the incomprable Dr. Mahmoud Al Saeed, Egypt's ambassador to Canada. This very honest and of course very impartial man has written a letter to the editor exposing the "Truth" about "what's really going on in Egypt", and thus hinderd our efforts to misinform the world about the valiant refrom effrots done by our overly competent government (that doesn't condone torture at all ) and its super sweet, super smart and very cute leader, our great president Hosny Mubarak, Hero of War, champion of Peace, Economic Guru extraordinare, Un-deterred Democracy crusader, God's chosen Egypt's Messiah and our personal Lord and Savior (PBUH). Damn you Ambassador Mahmoud, damn you to hell!

DR. MAHMOUD EL-SAEED
Egyptian Ambassador

Ottawa — The writers of the article Ray Of Hope: ‘Revolution Of The
Judges’ (May 25) were apparently grossly misinformed about developments
in Egypt. Political, economic and social reform started in Egypt more
than 20 years ago. Such changes are very difficult and take time. Our
region faces many local and regional challenges that complicate the
process of reform.

Speaking about a revolution of the judges is fanciful. The dispute
taking place in Egypt has nothing to do with the government; it is
among the judges themselves. Two judges insulted other judges in the
media. So, the Supreme Judicial Council, consisting of only judges, has
initiated disciplinary action against them.

The government refused to interfere in the dispute out of respect
for the independence of the judiciary, which is strictly guaranteed by
the Constitution. On the other hand, the Muslim Brotherhood, an illegal
extremist group, tried to use the conflict to achieve political goals.
Demonstrators blocked traffic and disrupted public order in a way that
compelled security forces to intervene. The demonstrators were not so
peaceful as the writers claim.

Regarding the extension of emergency law in Egypt, what the writers
failed to mention is that it was extended only temporarily while two
committees in the upper and lower chambers of the Egyptian Parliament
work hard on drafting a new anti-terrorism law. It would be
irresponsible to create a legal vacuum while Egypt is still facing the
threat of terrorism.

Egypt is steadily on the road to democracy. Political life and
debate in Egypt are free and very energetic. There is no wavering in
our resolve to proceed. I agree with the writers that we need the
support and encouragement of all those who support democracy.

In case you are egyptian, living in egypt and feeling slightly confused reading this letter, this man is apparently living in the other Egypt* I told you about. Still haven't been able to locate that paradise of democracy and economic stability yet, but will surely inform you the moment that happens!

*Speaking of the other Egypt, The stock market in this Egypt continues to tank and has lost about 25% of its value so far. The Ironic part? The tanking really intensified the moment the WEF started in Cairo . So much for the economic benefits of the conference, and how Egypt- according to the not-at-all-delusional Prime minister Nazif- will be recognized, again, as a leading nation in the region. Nazif was right in one thing though: Egypt's stock market is leading the region in terms of crashing at the moment. Now that's leadership.
