    Yeah, it is great work.

Ben F., one of the protesters has been all over the place talking about the relatively small size of the protest. I’ve been saying that people need to realize it has only been 2 days since this started.

Not bad at all considering the very short amount of time.

actually, that was the chicago protest. i was just coming here to post them. i also have audio which i’ll try really, really hard to get around to editing and compressive tonight, but it’ll be my first time doing that sort of thing, so don’t be surprised if it takes a couple of days.

it was a sturdy, basic picket which was 100% square on-message, so there isn’t too much further to report.

Where are those who protest for the release of those suspecteed
to be members or supporters of the MB?

    Vive la petit bourgeoisie!

  6. jummy Says:

well, you should direct your accusation of hypocricy to the organizer, who is a staff writer for the socialist worker.

for my part, is the ndp government acting against open and fee democracy by outlawing the muslem brotherhood? sure. but is the mb an organization supportive of open and free democracy? no. i marched in support of disenfranchised people who are.

eee and what did YOU do other than criticizing everyone else? If you have nothing good to say, can you be kind enough to shut up

Jummy–I was gonna say that that wasn’t DC, looked more like Chicago, where the consulate is on a major thoroughfare (N Michigan). The Egyptian embassy in DC is in a cul-de-sac that gets essentially no pedestrian traffic; the only ones who saw the DC protest were embassy personnel and the Secret Service folks who were watching over us.

Tommy–Sorry, but DC was disappointingly small, though spirited. Glad to see that the turn-out was better elsewhere.

CaNN–My sign was less verbose than the others in DC; just said LET YOUR PEOPLE GO.

I felt good about this post. It confirmed for me some of the things I’ve been thinking about.

Give people a cause they can feel for and passion starts to pour out of them. Its funny how people “move” in some areas of there life and are completely stagnant in others.
