First of all, take a look at the flag they are waving. It is a iranian royal flag with the farsi lion. Combine that with bellybuttons and uncovered hair, these are not supporters mullas would want. They are iranian expats, who are in opposition to mullocracy. These pictures are a bigger slap in the face to the mullas then any anti ahmadinejad demonstration. It is patronising, nobody can say they are anti iranian, only against hezbollahi regime.

This month I’m in Germany, and I saw hundreds of Iranians supporting Iran from the banks of the River Main, where huge TV screens set up in the river allow huge crowds to watch the games. I noticed that of the Iranian men–also very good looking–only one had a beard. And yes, the girls looked like the girls in the pictures: pretty, bareheaded, wearing make-up and chic clothes suitable for the hot day.

Notice the iranian flag in the first picture. The emblem in the middle is no the ‘allahu akbar’ tha’ts on the official flag. It’s the sword wielding Lion. A symbol of the persian identity. Great. Beside the Shir o khorshid flag (Lion + sword) then also see the others.
