7asanah we ena sedak

This is probably only funny to me:

Egypt's parliament narrowly approved an aid agreement with Denmark
after a heated debate dominated by memories of a dispute over cartoon
pictures of the Prophet Mohammad published in a Danish newspaper last
year.

Acting speaker Abdel Aziz Mustafa said the agreement
passed by a show of hands on Monday evening, but opposition members of
parliament and witnesses said opponents outnumbered supporters. Mustafa
did not order a more accurate count.

The agreement enables Egypt
to receive loans worth 60 million euros from Denmark for projects
including the provision of drinking water, setting up a wind farm for
electricity generation and building grain silos.

The deputy
leader of the opposition Muslim Brotherhood group in parliament,
Hussein Mohamed Ibrahim, tore up a copy of the agreement and said the
house should not even debate it.

Others demanded the Egyptian
government deposit with parliament a copy of a formal Danish government
apology for the cartoons of the Prophet, which outraged many Muslims.

After the vote, ruling party member Mustafa el-Katatny said he had
approved it reluctantly. "I feel bitter in my heart towards Denmark but
I accept the agreement if it is in Egypt's interest," he told reporters.

LOL. We hate you, but we will take your aid that we need. We feel bitter towards you for what you did with your freedom of speech and cartoon, but we will take your money anyway. Just don't expect us to be gratefull or anything. Damn Danish people with your evil cartoons! Just keep sending that money and shut-up you Bastards.

Gotta give it up to us. We are the only people who will publically act disdainful towards you even after we take your aid. Don't try to understand it. It's a "Pride" thing.

If there has ever been a modern example of infidel “jiziya” tax, its this!

  2. Marianne Says:

I don´t understand it, but I do understand why some Danes are talking about giving the money to some other country.

  3. Lars Says:

Marianne: I hear ya’. There are a lot of other places to spend our money, like Chad. Anyway it is still a loan, which will mostly go to Danish technical assistance, so we a loaning money to pay our own technical assistance, thats genius. Also the european holiday travllers are still punishing Egypt for the cartoon dispute, so I’m amased that their parliament are still shooting themselves in the foot by raising the issue.

  4. Jen Says:

Denmark (and everyone else who receives this kind of attitude) should very politely say, “Well, alright, as you wish. We certainly do not want to impose our aid on you. Perhaps it could be put to better use elsewhere.” And not give them anything. If this happened all the time (as we know it invariably would), the people in Egypt would get wise and shut up the Islamists. Then things might really change.

  5. Egypeter Says:

Do Egypt’s politicians give a rat’s ass about Egypt??!!

    “The agreement enables Egypt
to receive loans worth 60 million euros from Denmark for projects
including the provision of drinking water, setting up a wind farm for
electricity generation and building grain silos.”
the ones in parliament that fanned the falmes of anger, once again, against th
Water, electricity and food…what country needs such silly trivial things? All that really matters is the country’s Arab pride!!!! Don’t you dare insult Egypt’s pride or else, umm, uh we’ll be forced to RELUCTANTLY take your aid. How embarassing!

What a bunch of assholes! Did everyone notice that the god-forsaken Muslim Brothehood tore up the document! Lol. I’m sure they’re the ones in parliament who are screaming at the top of their lungs about insulting their Prophet Mohammad. Once again, fanning the flames of hatred against the infidel, sorry Danes for getting stuck in the cross hairs.

Also sorry to all you awesome Danes out there. My brother said Copenhagen was his favorite European city he visited last fall! He said the people were amazing. So please be patient with our suicidal regime.

  6. JordanR Says:

The Arab/Islamic world will never change as long as the infidel world holds them to the lowest possible standards.

To me, that is the real racism. We refuse to hold Arab/Islamic states accountable for their actions because, quite honestly, I think we see them as children who are incapable of knowing right from wrong.

I think it would be a terrible mistake for Denmark to give Egypt any money. It would be like giving a lolly-pop to a child to stop them from crying. It will only encourage more crying.

  7. InfidelDane Says:

Hey, fellow Danes (klap li’e kamelen, ik ? :-) and folks:
This loan is official Danish government foreign policy
The cartoons were absolutely, definitely, believe it or not, not.

“A formal Danish government apology” ??
Just because the EG MPz mix up these two incidents, there’s no reason why “we” should do so, and ” talk about giving the money to some other country.”

Remember, Egypt didn’t burn down our embassy, they were too busy celebrating African Cup http://freedomforegyptians.blogspot.com/2006/02/why-egyptians-are-not-torching-danish.html

That gesture is worth a few $$, innit ? oops, now I’m connecting the two unconnected incidents :-)

  8. Just another Dane Says:

Europe, the West give aid to Africa and other less-developed regions to prevent their youth from travelling here and become illegal workers. If we didn’t both the West and the less-developed regions would become poor and ruined.
It is just like the American Aid to Europe after WWII - the Marshall plan/aid the birth of modern development aid.
So please, shut up, take the money and work - and stay where you are!
    :-)

  9. InfidelDane Says:

Mostly Danes here ,,,, anyone can translate the title ” 7asanah we ena sedak” ?

    Something good and…. what ?

btw: “It’s a “Pride” thing. ” yeah, pride is hard to swallow, and not as tasty as cheese. Sorry, couldn’t resist

  10. Girl Says:

Well just to remind you: The cartoons was printed by a privately owned newspaper. It is not the policy/will of the danish nation/people, to insult a religion, and therefore its not possible to give an excuse for the ventures of the free press…
Danes still wonder where the mixup, between the anger towards a newspaper, and the danish people, could happen in the mind of the muslim world!

Oh, by the way - I know: I read what Al Jazeera and Al Arabia wrote about the incident, and I think I found 75% of what the blasted into the muslim world was errors (that could have been avoided), and willfull lies!
I think you need free press; thats not what you got… You got rats with a religious agenda!

  11. Akis Patsourakis Says:

Shooting themselves in the foot my arse.

Egypt has easily (I stress Easily) obtained very favorable loan terms from a score of International Donor agencies and MDBs among them the World Bank and the African Development bank. The Facilities top $1 billion.

Egypt does not really need Danish aid money, the only program that needs heavy financing now, its the recapitalizing of state owned bank as a step prior to the restructuring of the first, merger of two of them and the privatization of the third (which is already underway). The cost of recapitalizing and restructuring state owned banks was going to cause the budget deficit to swell, which now could now be smoothed by the loans from the WB and the AfDB.

    Regards

    Akis Patsourakis

  12. Lars Says:

Akis Patsourakis. That may be, but the shooting themselves in the foot was a reference to raising the cartoon issue which is still causing some european turists to stay away from Egypt. And you really can’t deny that mostly the danish loan will go to technical assistance, mostly foreign!!!!
