Its truly sick. The only rational I can give (and its a weak one) is that these families believe the bombs are headed for terrorists, and not innocent women and children like the celebrations that take place on the streets in Gaza when civilians get suicide bombed.

“To Nasrallah with love”. That seems like well-directed and focused emotion to me. They’re not out there drooling at the prospect of destroying an entire country for ideology the way Nasrallah is. And they would never be doing that at all if Israel had never been attacked, would they?

I read an interview with one refusniks in Israel, the cousin of Benjamin Netanyahu, few days ago. Among other things he said that it is a habitual practice in Israel to take school children to visit military sites and have a close experience with tanks, arms and even fighter jets. Perhaps the Israelis start military training at a very early age. Building the brave fighter who will drop a 500 lb bomb on a residential area needs a lot of psychological training in his/her childhood I guess, otherwise the human part in him/her might wake up and makes the mission of burning children difficult.

While I don’t condone this, didn’t Olmert recently request a ceasefire? And it was refused? Again, allowing children to view war as a trivial and/ or funny issue is depraved, but after you try to take a step towards a resolution and someone tells you to F* the hell off, I can see why some people may feel like Hezballah gets what it deserves.

This goes back to the Napoleanic wars when British sailors would mark “post paid” on cannon balls. Its part of the warrior’s spirit and esprit de corps. But, at the same time, the children shouldn’t be that close to the ordinance at all, let alone be writing the messages themselves. They’re too young to be involved. Being a target at age 7 is a scary thing and plays into the quote of Golda Meir above about what we can’t forgive the Arabs for.
At the same time, I share their sentiment - and feel horrible for children who have to face such ugly realities so young. “To Nasrallah with love.” Its focused on a man that the children know wants to hurt them (and who is launching rockets at their home). It isn’t hatred of the Lebanese people. Its hatred of the bad guy. And that is righteous hatred. Children see things more clearly than we do.
And to those who question the provenance of the picture: its an Israeli artillery piece and the pen the girl is holding is a recognizable Israeli brand. My kids use the same pens, but not on ammunition, thank G-d. I pray we will live to see a day when children (Israeli or Arab) do not live in fear.

I’m an American and I used to be a die-hard Israel-supporter (a Gentile Zionist?) until I was 20 or so. Everything I’d been told in the media was that Israel was a secular, pluralistic western-style democracy being mercilessly attacked by the evil Palestinians, etc. Then I started to slowly learn the truth.
I still oppose terror attacks against Israeli civilians, but the situation is not nearly so black-and-white as many Americans think it is.

What i got from your sources is that you use Judaism as a religion and as a label to know who of the billions of people on this earth belonged to the tribes that were evicted from Egypt and conquered Palestine 2000 years ago. These tribes after 2000 years of failed attempts to coexist with other nations decided to unit themselves and go back to the same land they grabbed by force after being expelled from Egypt and grab it by force again from those whose bad luck made them inhabit it during this time.

Jews are a race (or ethnicity, if you prefer a more PC equivalent) by this definition.
I like this definition of race because it is flexible. A race can be defined as small as you want (the Jewish race or the Arab race) or as large as you want (the human race), and everything in-between (the Semitic race). Mutiple races just need to have some qualification of being partially inbred at some point in their histories to qualify them as a higher-level race. Furthermore, the definition doesn’t restrict a race to having a single higher level grouping.

WOW! A few doses of reality -
1) Israel is not nor does it have to be PERFECT and without flaw to still have the moral high ground and not be equivalent to its fascistic enemies.
2) AP photographers probably ran the 100 yard dash to get this picture and then put it front and center in EVERY newspaper they could. It was in my local newspaper by the way.
3) The amount of shit the AP and Reuters photographers regualarly ignore in the Territories is purposeful and blatant. A Palestinian writer himself told me this. That’s not to mention the stuff they miss because they don’t speak Arabic and have Palestinian PLO stringers to “translate”.
One picture of 2 Israeli girls signing missiles is not the equivalent or even in the same galaxy as to what occcurs daily in every in just about every Arab and Muslim state in the Middle East.
5) US Military regularly sign and put messages on bombs and missiles by the way. This doesn’t make them the equivalent of Al Queda etc…
6) There are no celebrations in Israel as in Gaza and Hamastan every time a rocket murders Jews in Israel….

Israelis have been murdered and maimed by islamic bombs, and what was written on them? Recall that the islamic terrorists target young women, babies, women, pregnant womem, in ruthless savage attacks.
