SM you are fascinated by the USA in a way that blinds you to its faults. You are also a bit self-hating because the difference between a self-hater and a disgruntled person is that the latter is capable of giving some constructive criticism while the former is never able to.
We do have a lot of faults for sure, but those wont be solved by mocking them. Maybe you want to engage in all the initiatives (no matter how small they are) for changing the situation instead of sitting there and complaining, or worse, being part of the problem by working in an industry (investment banking) that only perpetuates the injustice in our country and benefits the fat cats instead of fairly distributing wealth.
I am sure none of this will resonate in your mind because you’re pretty alienated from your surrounding .I think your presence in Egypt is only physical, and you’re really a burden on the system, living off it and sucking from its resources, while giving nothing back.

I think Fred was misunderstood. “episode in history called Islam” was presumably a mistranslation. I imagine it should have read “episode in the history of Islam”. I think SM is safe for now. But with eee on the loose, are the rest of us safe?

Stromboli: It’s not maybe fakes .. Reuters has disassociated itself from at least one Lebanon stringer for photoshopping at least two photos last I checked. The guy was one of the “fab 4″ photogs @ Qana. If you delve further into his work, more inconsistancies appear.
*notes it IS odd that his photoshopping extra smoke in a relatively innoculous photo was done and done so freakin badly

Saves getting angry and hateful and it’s always best to disagree over a bottle of wine and a laugh than over a gun barrel.

That’s just how all Muslim village women over 30 look and act. Lots of wailing and moaning, mostly at the funerals of total strangers/ terrorists/martyrs. She was just walkind around some town wailing at all the damage. Its kind of cultural for the Arabs to play to the cameras. They think that we in the west will feel terrible for them, like they always feel for themselves. I think they have enough self pity already, no one can possibly feel as sorry for Arabs as they feel for themselves. I am all burned out, I have Muslim Fatigue Syndrome. I am tired of the Muslims claiming that they never do anything wrong. Nothing is ever their fault. Personally I never believed in God but I am starting to think God does exist and that he really hates Arabs, because if it weren’t for bad luck, Arabs would have no luck at all! Nothing ever goes their way, people print ugly cartoons and mock their God, does Allah rain down vengeance on the infidels, hell no, he makes Israel attack Lebanon. Looks to me like the Jews really are the chosen people.
