Conversation: What about Iraq?

(Me, BP and Moe from ITM in a car yesterday)

BP: Hey, check this sign out. That one on the mosque!

ITM (reading it): Support your brothers in Lebanon and Palestine by donating blood. Hmm..

BP: You notice that they keep putting those 2 together now? Plaestine and Lebanon, Lebanon and Palestine.

SM: Howcome there is no Iraq? You notice how they don't mention Iraq*?

BP: Yeah, why don't they mention Iraq? Why don't they want to help out Iraqis?

SM (to BP): They must not be our brothers!

ITM (overhears): Thank God!

BP: You hear that Moe? You are not our brothers.

SM: He said Thank God!

BP: Hehehehehehehehe!

*Not only here, but on Itoot as well. Anybody notice that? They have a crisis in Lebanon and Gaza page , while this crisis barely had 1000 casualties in a month so far. Meanwhile in Iraq, this past month about 2000 iraqis died, and that's in Baghdad alone. But see, since there are no Jews involved, and only arab muslims killing each other, there is no crisis. Not to mention, you can't really make a nice cool banner for it without depicting Iraqi Jihadies with their arab faces carrying guns, and that would be bad, since it might re-enforce certain very bad and very very wrong steroetypes about arabs and muslims, that are absolutely not true and hold no place in reality**. Don't ya think?

** Well, besides Iraq*** of course!

*** Ok, and maybe Gaza****!

****Fine, and southern Lebanon. But that's about it*****.

***** Ok, Ok, and occasionally in Egypt and Jordan. I will give you that. But that's it******. I swear!

****** Oh, SHUT UP!

Thank you for the link to itoot. I was having problems with the wording to 1701 but they made me rethink the matter, maybe it ain’t so bad after all.

  6. Joanne Says:

I’ve been thinking this too that the number of deaths in Iraq is huge in comparison and not a peep from the Arab/Persian/Muslim world. I’m sure the Iraqi people have noticed this too.

  7. Nadav Says:

why don’t they have banners intended for moderate arabs to donate blood to israel?

pass over is approaching, so is our apotite for muslim maccas..

  8. Jay Says:

I’ve seen numbers of Israelis killed by Hez but how many Israeli Arabs?

  9. Lynne Says:

Jay: at least three in the Haifa area that I’m aware of.

As for the silence from the Muslim world re: the Muslim against Muslim carnage in Iraq, well what with the Saudis and other Sunni nations funding Al Qaeda in Iraq and the Iranians funding the equally bloody minded Muqtada Al-Sadr, er, whose to fund the campaign to donate blood and otherwise assist Iraq’s unarmed civilians and various “cooperators with the Occupation” who have been slaughtered as they try to have a normal life.

  10. Chip Says:

    Arrrrrrr!

BM: What has Egypt ever done for us?

Well, the pyramids and assorted cultural treasures, Big Mo.

    BM: That’s not knowledge.

Uh, an organized system of agriculture, religion, and astronomy.

BM: Fitna! Our precious honor…dirty fellahs! Jahilyya! Blasphemy!

    Roman culture?

BM: IMPERIALISM! OPPRESSION! JIHAAAAAD! Is there anything else you’d like to add? Anything at all!? After all, there is no compulsion in religion.

I mean the Suez Canal is critical to global commerce. They did sign a peace treaty with the Zionist Entity…

    *BOOM*
