It’s almost like a replay of WWI. The job was left 1/2 done and had to be replayed two decdes later. I hope that doesn’t happen again but more and more it looks like we will make the same mistakes again.

When I first read Mohamed’s post I thought he had a pretty salient argument.
Then I read another position which seems equally valid:

Key point being that we’re fighting tihs war slowly since the enemy want’s us to fight it quickly and thus get overextended. I think TM Lutas may have a good argument.

While I whole-heartedly agree with Mohammad’s take on some of our mistakes in Iraq, what he suggests should have been undertaken long before now, back when the American public had not yet begun settling into “Iraq fatigue” which to some degree might…
