And these are the “so-called” Arab brothers….. It is a pity that such things happen. However it seems to me that it is the law of the jungle in this Arab world (same as in some other places in the west). But very sad indeed

  2. Smarty Says:

Islam is the religion of peace!!! Keep repeating it!!! It will get you through the hard days.

Battal, don’t compare Arab/muslim treatment of people to the western way. There are abuses of people everywhere, but in the land of Allah, it is normal.

  3. rick Says:

Usually the gullible and the illegal are the people that get abused. In the middle east. In the west. That’s what we do to each other to make a dollar. ‘Islam is the religion of peace’, that’s probably what the guys Egyptian supervisor is repeating to get himself through the day. As he locks all those passports away in a safe place.

  4. Patrick Says:

Fuck Arab unity. Egypt would have been better on its own. We spent decades wasting thousands of lives and most of our budget to fund these Arab groups and fight for them in Israel. Had we not done that, they would have been gone by now and Egypt would be a prosperous, cosmopolitan, industrialized Mediterranean country, which was its track record up until the beginnings of this Arab nationalism. Let’s go off on our own before they fuck up more things for us.

  5. lynne Says:

Patrick, I agree. All of this hatred toward Israel is a great smoke screen, a way to deflect that abuses of Arab brothers against brothers. The Jews could not be less of a threat to the Arab way of life: they don’t seek converts, they respect other people’s religious choices. It makes no sense, unless you look at it inthe light of a smoke screen or a scapegoat. Arafat apparently took millions and millions of dollars meant for the people in the Palestinian territories. He enriched himself at their expense and as they did without, provoking them to view the a people of Israel as their enemies. Who was the real enemy? I think that it was Arafat and the corrupt leadership. They are protected from criticism by those who hate Jews above all else. It’s pathetic.

  6. Azad Says:

Arab unity and brotherhood is a joke, and that is not news. It seems you are learning quickly about the nature of the Hashemite Kingdom of Prostitution, I mean, Jordan.

You should know that Jordan is a parasitic country that has always benefited from the trials and tribulations of Iraqis. The Jordanian regime has no principals and never has - look how they were the loyal ga7bat of their gawad Saddam and then all of the sudden took Hussein Kamal and Saddam Kamal and then sheltered the other dog Allawi and turned on Saddam. Meanwhile, their population still adores Saddam and adored Zarqawi until he killed a few Jordanians (although sympathy for Zarqawi did not completely disappear even after that).

If you are Iraqi then go to Jordan and see how you will be treated. They hate Iraqis and especially Shi’a and all Iraqis who fly in from Baghdad are questioned about their city/district of origin and tribal background, and randomly asked about these things by plainclothes Jordanian agents every once in a while.

    JORDAN SUCKS!

And Jordan still has control of a strip of Iraqi land that gawad Saddam gave to them in return for being loyal servants.

END THE JORDANIAN OCCUPATION OF IRAQI LAND!

  7. lynne Says:

Azad, I had no idea of all this. It’s so complex that it makes my head spin. Is there any solution? Zarqawi is the man responsible for a huge bombing in a hotel in Jordan? Am I confusing him with someone else? How in the world do the people of Jordan continue to hold him in high regard after he murdered the Jordanians? How can we get people to think? Good grief, it seems hopeless.

  8. ella Says:

    SM

This situation reminds me of “guest-workers” situation in KSA. People there also have their passports taken out. The only difference is that the supervisors are usually saudis.

    Azad

I heard that many Jordanians support terrorists (Al Qaeda) but on the other hand they claim that many terrorists came to Jordan from Iraq. However Jordanians also profit from what is happening in Iraq. I have heard that the rents in amman went up and that many Iraqi who came just before (or during the first year of) the invasion live very well in Amman.
I know that many Jordanians do not like Iraqis, particularly shia Iraqis. Do you think that is because Jordanians are afraid of Iranian influence in Jordan? That they equate iraqi shia with iranian shia?

  9. Adam B. Says:

Taking their passports is illegal - go to the union, the local administrative authority or the police, and if that fails, go to your embasy.

If none of these actions get you anywhere, make sure you don’t get into a similar situation ever again and stop criticizing the west for our attitude towards the middle east… :)

Pretty sad situation, all in all…

  11. Smarty Says:

Or, if someone says “give me your passport” you say “F*ck you”. If they continue to babble on, you smash your fist in their face, and tell the police it was attempted kidnapping.

Then see what arab brotherhood gets you. With a dollar, maybe a cup of coffee.

  12. Hamako Says:

    Azad,
I disagree with most of Jordanian politics if not all of it. However, Jordan is one of the few countries that let the Iraqi’s in by the thousands. I dont know if you are Iraqi, but if you are, stay the fuck out of Jordan instead of jumping on the bandwagon of bitching. If you hate Jordan, find another shithole to take you up. Otherwise, be glad that you’re dodging ‘illoyal ga7bat and prostitutes’ rather than car bombs in Karbala.

  13. Azad Says:

    Lynne,

” Is there any solution? Zarqawi is the man responsible for a huge bombing in a hotel in Jordan? Am I confusing him with someone else? How in the world do the people of Jordan continue to hold him in high regard after he murdered the Jordanians? How can we get people to think? Good grief, it seems hopeless.”

Yeah, same son of a bitch. Interviews in Jordan by BBC showed that Jordanians still had some sympathy for Zarqawi when he died. Some Jordanian MPs (yes, government officials) showed sympathy for him when he was smoked and at least one publicly called him a martyr.

“I heard that many Jordanians support terrorists (Al Qaeda) but on the other hand they claim that many terrorists came to Jordan from Iraq. However Jordanians also profit from what is happening in Iraq. There has been at least two incidents I know of when an Iraqi terrorist cme to Jordan to commit a terror act. But, most Jordanians support the terrorists (Iraqi and foreign in Iraq). Iraqis in Amman are either very rich (mostly Saddam regime elements and some new corrupt people like Hazem Sha’lan, the bigtime thief and former Defense Minister for Allawi), or very poor. Most are very poor, not very rich.

Many Jordanians have some superiority complex over Iraqis and the fact that Iraqis are different - only the minority are Sunni Arab - is one big reason. The Shi’a are despised by many Arabs and not considered to be good Arabs, although sometimes that young jackass Sadr gets credit from the masses because he is cursing the US and Israel.

Re: Iran, didn’t you know that all Shi’a are “of Persian origin”… so they say? I mean, look at King Abdullah’s statements on the Shi’a (and Mubarak’s for that matter) and think what a less worldly Jordanian must think!

“I disagree with most of Jordanian politics if not all of it. However, Jordan is one of the few countries that let the Iraqi’s in by the thousands. Jordan profited for so long from Iraq and the pain of Iraqis and now I am supposed to be happy that Jordan “sort of” allows Iraqis to live there as third class citizens? Give me a damn break. Don’t worry, I don’t spend much time in Jordan. Unfortunately I have been there out of necessity a few times and trust me I will never go back unless absolutely necessary because I don’t want one dollar, dinar, whatever of my money going to support the HKP.

I don’t see what Karbala has to do with it, and I am not Karbala’i, but maybe Jordanians and other Arabs should stop supporting those wulid al-ga7bat who set off the car bombs in Karbala, Baghdad, and everywhere else. What do you think?

And maybe, just maybe, the Jordanian trash who profited from Iraq for so long could stop discriminating against Shi’a Iraqis? Did you know that the HKP denied permission to build a Husseiniya in Iraq? Why? Because they HATE the Shi’a.

    FUCK JORDAN

  14. Hamako Says:

Some Iraqis will inevitabely be treated as 3rd class citizens in Jordan, its retarded and fucked up on various levels. But lets not forget those Iraqis that have bought houses that look like the taj mahal, more than a handful of those I assure you. There is no ’sort of’ when you live somewhere, you’re either there or you’re not. And just so you know, may Jordanians and palestinians who have assimilated into the system are still treated as 2nd class citizens there, so lets not wheep to the sound of the violin. You speak of Jordanian trash, and I agree with many of your points (your tone kind of dilutes them though, for instance, I like to fuck prostitutes and not Jordan), but what about the Iraqi ‘trash’ that started this mess? What about the Iraqi trash that not only supported the car bombs, but actually executed the bombings? What about the Iraqi trash that let in all the other arab trash (zarqawi et al.) into their country? Criticism is good, but to avoid hypocrisy, I say get your house in order before finding an easy scapegoat.

  15. Azad Says:

“You speak of Jordanian trash, and I agree with many of your points (your tone kind of dilutes them though, for instance, I like to fuck prostitutes and not Jordan), but what about the Iraqi ‘trash’ that started this mess?”

I don’t like to fuck prostitutes but I know it is a very popular hobby among immoral Middle Easterners. What about the Iraqi trash like Saddam and his whores? FUCK them, too. That means Saddam and his party, that means the liar and plotter Allawi, that means the terror kingpin Sadr, that means the neo-Ba’this like Saleh Mutlag, and so many others. And FUCK their little bitchboys and cheerleaders among the Jordanians, both the regime and the people.

“What about the Iraqi trash that not only supported the car bombs, but actually executed the bombings? What about the Iraqi trash that let in all the other arab trash (zarqawi et al.) into their country?”

Um, to hell with them. And their supporters and cheerleaders.

“Criticism is good, but to avoid hypocrisy, I say get your house in order before finding an easy scapegoat.”

Kurdistan is in order and while the whores and sons of whores in Jordan treat Shi’a like animals, Sunni and Shi’i Arabs and Christians and any “type” of Iraqi is welcome to move north and live in the peace and security of the Kurdish autonomous region, and this is happening.

And Jordan is a parasite and any patriotic Iraqi should hate Jordan.

  16. Battal Agha Says:

Azad my friends, you should take some valium to calm down - stop drinking coffee. Your blood pressure is bad… Why are you so much anti-Jordan? It is a peaceful country and more importantly not trying to fiddle in its neighbor business.

  17. Azad Says:

    I don’t drink coffee, I drink chay.

I already explained why I hate Jordan. I wish I could post in a bigger front and in boldface type but I am not sure how. Then I could express how I really feel about the Hashemite Kingdom of Prostitution inn boldface 72-point font!

Jordan isn’t peaceful, Jordan is parasitic and as of late gave Iraq a wonderful non-peaceful gift called Abu Mus’ab al-Zarqawi. Maybe Jordan should give back the Iraqi land it occupies and then we could MAYBE say that they are not trying to fiddle in Iraqi business.

Anywayz, thanks for calling me your friend. Is you name “ba6al” as in “hero” and “agha” like the old Turkish title? Because that is a pretty sweet name.

Lazim ashrab fadd stikan chay… ra7-ashoofak ba3adein, inshallah.

  18. Adam B. Says:

    Azad:

tut tut, that’s no way to speak about your neighbour or to promote peace in the region - haughty moralizing over ;)

But seriously, how can you guys feel like that towards each other and expect to live peacefully side by side? If you can’t do any better, how can you expect the rest of us to?!?!

  19. Azad Says:

“tut tut, that’s no way to speak about your neighbour or to promote peace in the region - haughty moralizing over”

When your neighbor acts in a certain way, you must speak of it in a certain way.

“But seriously, how can you guys feel like that towards each other and expect to live peacefully side by side? If you can’t do any better, how can you expect the rest of us to?!?!”

A relationship with a neighbor should be symbiotic, not parasitic. If you are American, then I am sorry that your tax money goes to support regimes like those in Jordan and Turkey, which do not always work in the interests of America and rule over an anti-American populace. The US deserves better from its client states.

jordan…my friend is what the prophet mohammad described jenan al ordun… it is a land of peace and love…i believe it is the goa of the middle east…
any war will create benifits and fuck ups for the neighbours…and i know that if jordan was able to avoid both she would rather do without both…jordan my friend you don’t understand does not need no one…it is a land of wonders,of healing…the water it ground gives is healing…the sun and the dead sea minerals are a work of the magic of god…it is a neutral zone in the middle of the maddness…and all should be the same!
