How do i get the book? Could I get an autographed copy? Could you publish the hate mail in the book, some of it is pretty funny. I don’t need to tell you this but good job.
November 26th, 2006 at 3:06 pm
Twosret says that HosniHussein is Israeli….I thought that being Jewish he would have supported you. Go figure.
November 26th, 2006 at 3:18 pm
Total WEIRDOS!!!!!!
November 26th, 2006 at 3:24 pm
If Hosni is Isreali, why is he worried about Pakistani law? Hash is legal in Amsterdam, If I light up at McDonalds I’m still going to jail.
November 26th, 2006 at 3:44 pm
no it’s typicall pakistani retarded asshole
November 26th, 2006 at 4:02 pm
SM,
Honey, I have been reading your blog for some time now.
I have followed some links to blogs that I found truly appalling in the anti-american attitudes.
Gee - Nice to know what others are saying.
I grieved with you over the EID assaults in Cairo. I greatly enjoy the photos of your travels.
Keep up the great writing!
As for your detractors - Phooey!
November 26th, 2006 at 4:11 pm
Didn’t you use to have a better class of hater? Now all you get are the barely literate drooling on themselves type. When they’re not frothing at the mouth.
November 26th, 2006 at 5:01 pm
Quit monkey hatin’, beeotch!
November 26th, 2006 at 5:37 pm
Oh man! youre in good company!
Salman Rushdy get a lot of death threats also
and he is a good writer… (just like Bulgakov was )
so keep it up…..
you can be proud….
if I was getting so much hate mail from koranimals I would have felt that at least I am doing something right….
November 26th, 2006 at 5:48 pm
Hey, it’s better to be hated than ignored. And some of the conspiracy theories about you are a great source of amusement. Especially the “BP and SM are one person!” conspiracy, and the guy that spent a huge amount of effort propagating it.
Just try to avoid any bearded men with dull knives, and you’ll be fine.
For it has been said… Sentio aliquos togatos contra me conspirare.
November 26th, 2006 at 8:46 pm
Well, at least I love you! And I mean that dude.
I am secure enough in my manhood to loudly proclaim on this blog that…wait for it, wait for it…
I LOVE SANDMONKEY!
November 26th, 2006 at 9:13 pm
SM - surely you must have some classier detractors than this lot of milksops. It must feel like being savaged by a dead sheep.
November 27th, 2006 at 1:02 am
Sentio aliquos togatos contra me conspirare.
Hear, hear.
Racoon, credo nos in fluctu eodem esse.
November 27th, 2006 at 1:59 am
You know you are doing something right when you piss-off these … Am I allowed to swear?
November 27th, 2006 at 3:25 am
SM,
I am very sorry that you had to go through such an inhuman death threats, this is insane I can’t even comprehend why would someone write something like this. This is too much indeed!
When did you insult the Prophet I have never read that?
November 27th, 2006 at 4:03 am
Twosret, I agree. People may disagree, but not sink to that level! Death threats are totally out of line.
November 27th, 2006 at 4:07 am
Lol. SM, dude I am glad you loved my little picture.
By the way those donkey balls are halal.:)
November 27th, 2006 at 5:05 am
But not kosher, IIRC.
November 27th, 2006 at 5:54 am
lybian, are you still in America? Didn’t we already sort this out?
November 27th, 2006 at 5:54 am
Lynne,
It is funny that SM posted this as yesterday I read something crazy on a car here in the US. The car had two stickers one of them saying “ I’m an Iraq vet” and the second one written in both Arabic and English saying something like if you get closer than 100 meters to my car I will shoot you.
I personally felt threatened by this sticker and I can’t understand how no one stopped this guy or gal driving this car. Threatening people to shoot them is against the law and shouldn’t be on cars like this.
Death threat is a crime. I think SM can trace this guy if he wants, from his IP address he can locate him or something and report him.
People can disagree as much as they want or in the heat of the moment insult each other or something but to write such libel things it is crazy!
November 27th, 2006 at 12:03 pm
Twosret, I agree. We all disagree on some things but are very much in agreement on others. I teach school, and work with many other teachers, administrators, parents, and kids. The only way to be effective and positive is for me to focus on the areas where we all do agree. If I feel strongly about an issue then I will try to share my ideas respectfully. There is entirely too much violence in this world. Too much actual physical violence and violent language, which can lead to physical violence. I would feel a bit threatened by the bumper sticker as well, especially as there is such a problem in the US with road rage. I think that SM could trace this guy and report him, but it might just make the guy more hate-filled. Too bad that this guy did not want to talk and discuss the issues to search for some common understanding, or to realize that we all have our perspectives due to our unique experiences. . .
I believe that all of us who post here want the same thing, and that is to just live our lives productively and securely. I think that if we focus on that as a goal our differences would sort themselves out over time.
November 27th, 2006 at 4:23 pm
Sorry Bumper stickers like that are not illegal in the USA. They are protcted as free speech and are not cnsidered a death threat. Death threats have to be peroanlly directed towards you. Otherwise my Welcome mat at the door that shows a revolver barrel and says “h#ll with the dog, beware of owner” would be illegal and it isn’t. Yes I have a CC permit. Cuts down alot on violence.
Someone should’ve told Mr frustated that the family goat would be a good place to get rid of all of that pent up anger.
November 27th, 2006 at 6:56 pm
Sounds like Pete is getting extra friendly up there at number 11.
Sandman-I know you dont even sweat this guy, based on his site it seems he wants alot of people dead.
November 27th, 2006 at 9:09 pm
only 1 death-threat? SM is a wimp!
November 27th, 2006 at 11:30 pm
Bumper sticker threatening to shoot someone is free speech?
November 27th, 2006 at 11:31 pm
Right on the money Lynne
November 27th, 2006 at 11:36 pm
Twosret, thanks!
November 28th, 2006 at 1:18 am
All the vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan have signs on them telling people to stay back. It reduces the amount of civilian casualties that were mistaken for muslims driving cars full of explosives into shit. If you feel threatened by a bumper sticker you are an idiot. Maybe you should move somewhere else.
November 28th, 2006 at 1:33 am
Well, SM, I don’t care who hates you. I think you f’n ROCK!!!
(Jealousy is such an ugly thing!)
November 28th, 2006 at 3:29 am
Mike,
First we are not in Iraq, we are in the US and there is no need to put such a sticker. Calling me an idiot just goes to show that you have no sensitivty to mothers with toddlers who drives around the city reading such bumper stickers.
I’m not moving somewhere else and will not wait for a crazy person to shoot me if I am driving close to him.
November 28th, 2006 at 5:15 am
It’s a bumper sticker. I called you an idiot because I don’t like stupid people who whine about stupid things. I don’t care about you or your kids and can’t think of any possible situation where I would ever be sensitive to your feelings about bumper stickers.
If you are a victim of bumper stickers it’s time to pick a new country, maybe canada, and go start a new life free from the unending oppression heaped upon you by things on cars.
“I’m not moving somewhere else and will not wait for a crazy person to shoot me if I am driving close to him.”
This sort of stupid should be canned and sold to other stupid people who want to attain the highest level of stupidity. You can’t get any higher, possibly lower in this case, from here.
November 28th, 2006 at 4:33 pm
Mike,
You are an asshole and a complete idiot yourself. Go to hell
November 28th, 2006 at 9:28 pm
Yes Twosret bumpers are protected under free speech. If it had your name on it then it would be a threat but it didn’t so lighten up. Telling someone in America that you’d “like to kill them” is pretty much just a saying and it doesn’t mean that I want to murder you it just means you are on my last nerve and I feel like doing that. Free speech again. I suggest you get used to it or go back from where you came. We have our own share of mindless liberals we surely don’t need imported ones!
November 28th, 2006 at 9:47 pm
It isn’t about being liberal or conservative ???? it’s about not being stupid.
November 28th, 2006 at 11:07 pm
Only ignorant morons speaks the language of go back to where you came from. Why do you think you are more an Americans you retard idiots, or is it anyone that dislikes or object to something should go back to where they come from.
So you two dingos are owners of America or something? who sold it to you and how much you paid for it? Who are you to tell me to leave a country that I am a citizen of.
Which school did you go to? what do you know about America to speak such garbage. As long as people like you are saying the crap you say there will always be racism and stupidity in this country.
I suggest you go back and take some history class as obviously you know nothing about the essence of this country.
I’m imported you asshole what are you then? are you native Indian or what?
low life white trash indeed!
November 29th, 2006 at 5:29 am
Mike, if you disagree with Twosret, that I can understand, but there is no reason to be abusive to her and to be insulting.
November 29th, 2006 at 6:55 am
twosret, if you can’t handle a bumper sticker it’s probably best to move. I would suggest leaving either way. Please take lybian “american”, raed, the angry arab and all the other parasites that keep washing up on our shores with you. It’s not that I don’t respect other cultures, I just don’t want my country infected with the same disease that has ruined countries like egypt and iraq. The culture isn’t compatable and the compromise isn’t acceptable so you should probably go home.
“low life white trash indeed!”
It’s better to be white trash then a boutique egyptian pretending to be an American.
lynne, stupid people deserve scorn and insults.
November 29th, 2006 at 7:09 am
Twosret , ever heard of humerous bumper stickers ? The one you took offence at was one of those.
November 30th, 2006 at 12:25 am
I went to bed early last night and missed all the fun above. SM you could sell tickets for a pay per view “Celebrity Death Match” between these two. It’s more enjoyable than Prime Minister’s Question Time in the UK Parliament.
Perhaps you could set up a adjudication panel to award points for a good original insult and deduct points for repetition or plagarism eg Twosret has used the white trash one in an earlier outburst. No point making deductions for bad spelling or grammar, because the participants had lost it so completely through the red haze.
Keep up the good work SM.
November 30th, 2006 at 5:40 am
charlie, does the prime minister have the questions before Question Time or is he responding off the cuff?
November 30th, 2006 at 2:28 pm
Damn, I thought that Nomad and I had this one in the bag…go figure. Although I must say that I’m trying really, really hard with someone else and she is not like Nomad…her I’m serious with. K, K, K,Krap.
November 30th, 2006 at 8:12 pm
~40 Mike - I had to look this up, because although it is possible to watch the televised proceedings of Parliament, most of us only watch the highlights shown on the news bulletins, which are of course a distillation of the most juicy exchanges and name calling.
Briefly, the PM has two 15 minute slots each week to answer questions across the floor of the house. The opening questions are from back bench MPs, who are selected by ballot and usually ask questions of apparently little interest eg who the PM is meeting that day, but allow supplementary questions from that MP. After these are out of the way the leader of the opposition is allowed a number of supplementary questions and these are supplementaries in name only, the subject matter long since having departed from the opening questions and this is where the fun and games come in. No doubt everyone is out to catch the PM flat footed and without an adequate response, but the topic of the questions are probably fairly easy to predict, based on current topics of interest or controversy. I wouldn’t like to have to predict how many civil servants and political advisors are engaged in briefing the PM on any possible question. Of course its not all one way, as the PM tries to turn the questions back to embarrass the opposition, or more likely tries to ignore the question to make a point of his own. Much fun.
So I believe, that only two of the questions are revealed in advance and they are incosequential. Its the supplementaries that hurt.
I once briefly spent some time in a quasi civil service department and we had to devise answers for ministers to possible supplementary questions when they had to answer questions in the house. They only had to perform once a month I think and you usually had a file on the person asking a seemingly innocuous question, listing the supplementaries they had asked in the past, what their current interests were, so although the minister didn’t know what the supplementaries were going to be, he had a handy script to cover the possibilities. It should have been easier to brief individual ministers as the only have to answer questions relating to their own department. If you missed the real question, the minister just had to wing it and you got hell later for not briefing him properly.
Hope that helps and I am sure someone will correct me if I have any of the details wrong.

I’m a desendant of Alexander Hamilton if you really need to know. I guess yes that does give me a little ownership. The other side of the family arrived in 1690.
December 1st, 2006 at 1:11 am
charlie, they show question time on c-span in the states and it is always entertaning. It’s way better than the congress cam which is the scourge of the channel. They also show candaian parliament, which (suprise) is f’n boring. Blair is quite good at it and turns the questions back well. It would be a disaster if I had to get up and deal with that pressure.
Is the old guy who says “order…order” signifigant? Is it tradition to say it the same way everytime? When he is replaced will the next guy say “order…order” also or does he get to come up with his own thing?
“rabble rabble rabble”
“calm down…calm down”
“rabble”
December 1st, 2006 at 1:14 am
Hamilton? Question marks you realize he wasn’t even an American. Back to the indies with you.
December 1st, 2006 at 11:26 am
#44…the ‘Speaker of the House’ is selected by the governing party. Basically he is there to ensure that his own party doesn’t cop too much shit and to keep the opposition in line. Everybody says that he is there to ‘keep order in the house’ and that’s the biggest load of shit since the Trojan horse laid a few on the people of Troy.
December 1st, 2006 at 7:09 pm
TJ, he became an America upon fighting alongside General Washington in the Revolutionary War and married a born American woman (Betsey [Elizabeth] Schuyler, daughter of Major General Philip John Schuyler). All 8 of his children were born here as was his wife and her parents before her.
Something some of you might not know is that unless you are a born American that your citizenship can be taken from you. If you are born here it it takes being convicted of treason, if not born here it takes much less.
December 1st, 2006 at 7:13 pm
I would say that by being born here since there are laws that apply differently to people born here vs naturalized citizens that that is enough to make one more of an American.
December 1st, 2006 at 10:50 pm
I wouldn’t know? I wrote that shit beyatch.
December 3rd, 2006 at 9:54 pm
Mike - despite what Scooter claims, the role of speaker is to be neutral and to make sure the rules of the house are applied fairly. Some may be less than perfect, but it’s not so big a fix as our two wheeled friend claims.
Blair may be doing well now, but when William Hague was leader of the opposition, he turned Blair over twice a week. However, being a smart arse with machine gun fast repartee and a wicked sense of humour failed to impress the voters. Shame - it’s been a while since we have had a PM who could earn his living as a stand up comedian.
December 4th, 2006 at 5:02 am
“I’m a desendant of Alexander Hamilton if you really need to know. I guess yes that does give me a little ownership. The other side of the family arrived in 1690.”
What a bunch of crap! it gives you a little ownership? WOW! if you were born from a true American mother and father who taught you well, you will know that you are like any citizen in this country.
The fact that you believe that own more in this country goes to show what a messed up individual you are. The best punishement for people like is to remain ignorant and to never be corrected.
say hi to Hamilton ya roh omak!
December 4th, 2006 at 8:01 am
Is it always “order…order”? The guy says it the same way every time.
You are lucky to have some rabbling in your parliament, our congress has boring charts. I can’t remember the last time someone threw down in the place.
December 4th, 2006 at 5:23 pm
Mike the idiot,
I lived in North America more than I lived in Egypt, so no pretending there asshole. You only wish to be exposed to other cultures but you can’t handle it because your borders end in the United States of America and you know nothing better.
Only stupid people like you ask others to leave the country, my passport is as blue as yours idiot so if you don’t like the fact that America is a melting pot for ALL people then you need to find a shrink to help you adapt.
I can see that you are one of those that walk in the streets and curse the day black, Indians, Chinese, Japanese and Middle Easterns were born.
Get your white hood on and start marching in the streets shouting at Middle Easterns.
All this because someone thought a bumper sticker is offending? WOW ! what will you do if people discuss civil rights. Psycopath!
December 4th, 2006 at 5:53 pm
Mike - my reference book “How Parliament Works” doesn’t actually say, but I suspect it is just custom and practice and by using the exact same phrase when things are getting rowdy, brings the MPs back to good order. What the book does say is “The central function of the Speaker and the most obvious since broadcasting (and now televising) of the Commons began is to maintain order in debate”.. MPs are well advised to pay attention to the Speaker’s strictures as the Speaker can order them removed for the day or if an offence is serious and or repeated, the can be banned for five, twenty days or on a third offence can be banned indefinitely.
Hopefully there is a real expert out there who can fill in any gaps.
