I could've seen that one coming

The Judge who sentenced Saddam to death is seeking asylum in the UK!

And arab conspiracy theoriest will now have "the evidence" that it was the Coalition who wanted Saddam dead, and that the Judge is now getting his pay-off for doing their dirty deeds.

I love this region!

Well, the Arab Conspiracy crowd will have to deal with this news item somehow. 😉

Judge in Saddam”s death sentence did not seek asylum in UK – Iraqi court

Judge in Saddam’s death sentence did not seek asylum in UK – Iraqi court
says BAGHDAD, March 11 (KUNA) — Iraqi High Criminal Court Tribunal denied Sunday reports that judge Rauf Abdul-Rahman who issued a death sentence against former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the Al-Dujail case has fled to Britain for political asylum.

A statement from the Court said “Judge Rauf Abdel Rahman called us personally from London and he denied this report completely.” This report is not true, he is having an ordinary vacation outside Iraq, the statement added.

Earlier Arab media news agencies citing an unnamed British official had reported that Abdul-Rahman has applied for asylum both for himself and his family in Britain.

Ousted former Iraqi dictator was hanged on December 30 last year after being sentenced to death on November 5 for the murder of 148 Shiite civilians from the town of Al-Dujail, north of Baghdad, in the 1980s following a failed assassination bid.(end) ahh.
