Saudis torture and amputate Indonesian maid

Words Fail me!

Comments

  1. This is almost beyond belief that people could do this to another human being.

  2. Roman Kalik says:

That they brought her to a state where the gangrene was so severe so as to require the amputation of all limbs…

Saudi has the death penalty, right? A pity it isn’t used against the right people, such as this inhuman couple.

  3. “Maid” is improper here. In the Arab world “Slave” would have been more appropriate.

And, if she was his property, then you can understand why this simpleton and his wife beat her…sorta like a dog. The punishment they gave their slave should be the same one they receive!

    *pathetic*

  4. 72 jets Eurofighters Typhoon vendus à l’Arabie saoudite, pour un montant de 4,43 milliards de Livres Sterling (6,3 milliards d’euros), le “contrat du siècle” pour British Aerospace (BAE)

yeah, money allows those behaviours

  5. sad…. very sad…. i dont think anything anyone does can ever compensate for the emotional and physical handicaps this woman will suffer…. to that poor woman, i want to say i am sooooo sorry for what you had to go through. i hope god gives you enough strength to recover and move on with your life.

it is realy beyond belief…. someone needs to do something to preven these abuses from happening day in and day out!!!

  6. In the Arab and Middle East, it is common the maids are treated like slaves and being tortured! It is a sad thing! Maid is also a humanbeing, they have to work to support herself and her family and most of them came from poor family or poor country. Even dogs are well treated like kings and some becomes millionaires when their owners dies! May Allah swt punish this couple in this world and after!

  7. Having lived in Saudi during the 80′s there is nothing new in this for me.

Indonesian, Phillipino, Afghan, Pakistani and Yemenite citizens are the mainstay of heavy labor in Saudi and, despite most of them being muslim, are treated as sub-humans. In contrast, non-muslim westerners are treated much better – a very puzzling fact considering the fact that Saudi sees itself as the first defender of Islam.

Of course I understand that the money and military power as well as scientific and social level of the west plays a large part in this equation, but it’s still mind-boggling how terrible many muslims treat each other around the world (Iraq-Iran, Sudan, etc.) in this day and age… :o (

  8. and these people belong to a religion that promotes good will, love and charity. towards their fellow man. excuse me while i laugh. actually more like cry for that poor woman.

  9. So, now that these two evildoers have been exposed, they are going to be put on trial, and if found guilty, ordered by the court to support this woman in comfort (to the extent that can be done) for the rest of her life. Right?

    Wouldn’t that be justice?

  10. N. American Princess says:

Memories of Abu Lahab and his wife…

Sadly these 2 probably won’t even be punished. If all muslims were like Indonesian muslims the muslim world would be so much better. Indonesians are among some of the kindest, most mild mannered people I have ever met.

  11. 11. N. American Princess:

The nice fellows who blew up a nightclub in Bali and continue an armed struggle for an independant sharia state in Aceh and other provinces excluded, I suppose…?

  12. “and these people belong to a religion that promotes good will, love and charity. towards their fellow man. excuse me while i laugh. actually more like cry for that poor woman.”

You have chosen a great name for yourself :)

  13. N. American Princess says:

Adam B: Every nation has it’s rotten apples…Americans have Bush!

  14. N. American Princess: Though I don’t much like Bush (I AM european after all :o P), I don’t think it’s fair to place him in the same category as people who blow up others just because they feel insulted or because the majority won’t impose the rule that they believe in.

Bush may have started wars, but although they have been terribly handled, their purpose was to promote peace, stability and justice to the world – you can think he’s an idiot and has handled the middle east situation poorly, but you can’t say that his vision is not one, where democracy and equal treatment are the eventual goal of his actions…

  15. @ ADAM B who says: democracy and equal treatment are the eventual goal of Bush’s actions. Yea Right, look what happened when Busg said he will stand by democracy when Palestinians elected Hamas. Nice try Pundit

  16. Roman Kalik says:

Bleeker, they elected Hamas, yes. Then they faced the consepuences of Hamas’ foreign policy. Nowhere does “supporting democracy” equal “giving lots of money and public support”.

Democracy means having the ability to choose. The ability to choose means having to face the consequences of each choice. Everyone gave the Palestinians the freedom to choose.

That their chosen government declared that it would never stop fighting for “all of Palestine” kinda makes folks wary of supporting them. Suicide bombers, rocket barrages on civilians, and executing any Palestinian they don’t like aren’t exactly the sign of people one should *like* simply because they were *elected*.

  17. Peter North says:

I feel sorry for anyone who electively follows islam and therefore turns his back on Jesus Christ. This puts a block to the blessings that God wishes to give to that person. The west has gone down hill in some ways but the christian pillars that it was built upon are still intact although they need a bit of a sprucing up!

  18. That’s awful… the poor maid probably had no idea what was happening to her.

  19. CarpetCaptain says:

Man these people are fucked. Worst part is that they will get no punishment for the horror they’ve commited, afterall she’s a maid and a second class citizen who get paid less than $200/month
