IF that’s why he won, then Michigan voters are dumb.

Perhaps it’s just me, but I thought I detected a little bias in the AP writer’s analysis of the two candidates!

Maybe McCain lost because 1. McCain-Feingold assaulted free speech rights; 2. McCain-Kennedy supported amnesty for illegal aliens 3. McCain voted against tax cuts several times, and publicly opposed W’s cuts; 4. McCain-Lieberman attacked industry via regulating and taxing greenhouse gases; 5. McCain was chief honcho for the Gang of 14, that prevented the repubs’ nuclear option that would have stopped the dems from fillibustering judicial nominees. And there’s much more like this in his record!

In New Hampshire, where independents could vote in the Republican primary, exit polls showed Romney getting 43% of the vote among those considering themselves “very conservative” vs McCain’s 18%. McCain got 47% of the vote among “somewhat liberal” voters; Romney 15%.

More conservatives voted in Michigan than New Hampshire, favoring Romney by 40% to McCain’s 22%. Romney therefore won.

So McCain is essentially a liberal candidate who succeeds in the primaries only to the extent that independents outnumber republicans.

I wonder if the AP writer shares those liberal attitudes? I wonder if there’s anyone in the AP who doesn’t.

    Morman shmoorman……
Sandmonkey, Sweetheart…, please don’t confuse a democrat (AKA AP “Journalist”) with an honest assessment of the GOP race. Lies, lies, lies, and more lies. The American media is in “lynch” mode when it comes to Romney. OK, he is a lot like Bush in so many ways, mark my words. They will attack him on the same level because WE are still trying to learn about him ourselves. McCain is OK, but there are too many issues related to domestic issues, Republicans will not stand by him.
Anyway keep up the good fight in the “devil’s asshole”
    GBU.
