Why do people hate Saudi?

That's why!

Comments

  1. That Hijab that every one is talking about. The one that ensures respect for women.

Thank God, Islam isn’t the cause of stuff like this, and is a religion of peace and all. Otherwise people might get the wrong idea.

    • Very true :D and the media does that a lot , but it’s the man made laws that are not fair.

  2. the girl confessed that she had a forced sexual intercourse with a man who had offered her a ride

Is this the same Saudi Arabia we are talking about?

The country with arguably the strictest laws against fraternising between men and women?

I am not trying to exonerate men. If they committed a crime, they must be punished. But I am very much puzzled.

My guess, girl made a mistake (by local standards) and then tried to cover it up by inventing this story.

  3. are you kidding me leo? don’t try and justify this…How is she supposed to assume that a man who offers her a ride wants to rape her?

this is appalling, how can a girl get punished for being raped?

  4. Patrick,

Are you kidding me? Do you mean to say that girl got into a car with a stranger voluntarily? I do not know how common it is KSA but I doubt very much it is. Well, barring working girls of cause.

  5. We don’t know the exact circumstances. Once when I lived in New Orleans, my car broke down on top of an elevated expressway late at night (I was a social worker, coming home from a midnight shift at the hospital). The next exit was miles ahead and there was little traffic. A man did come along in a fairly junky car, and he looked low class to me, so I was really afraid to take him up on his offer to drive me to the next exit. Probably I should not have done it, and I regretted it immediately after getting in the car. Fortunately, he simply drove me to the next exit and that was it. It was late, I was stressed due to my circumstances, I wondered if someone more dangerous would come along…. perhaps this was the case with this unfortunate young woman. I was lucky; she wasn’t.

  6. It’s obvious that no woman anywhere in KSA should take a ride from an unknown man – the rules and culture are simply against her in those circumstances. REGARDLESS, that’s not what we should be focusing on – maybe she did make a mistake and is trying to cover it up with a story, or maybe not – what matters is that Saudi Arabia should start taking women seriously when they claim they’ve been forced into sexual intercourse.

We’ll never see a Saudi Arabia where it is safe for a woman to get into the car of an unknown man (that’s not particularly safe anywhere), or a Saudi Arabia where men are truly punished for their wrongdoings… the best we can hope for is a Saudi Arabia where women are at least not punished for crimes of men.

    • yh but still women in KSA don’t have an equal ammount of FREEDOM AS MEN . SUADI PEOPLE ARE UNFAIR , SO WITHOUT MAKKAH AND MEDINA AND THE HOLY PLACES , THAT COUNRTY IS CRAP . THEY DON’T REALLY REPRESENT ISLAM CORRECTLY . I WENT THEIR TO DO UMRAH [RELIGIOUS THING] AND THE ONLY THING THAT HELD MY ANGER TO SCREAM IN THE RUDE GUARDS FACE WAS MY RESPECT TO THE RELIGIOUS PLACE . CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHY WOMEN CAN’T DRIVE ? ANYONE ?

  7. Dinky Londoner says:

I couldn’t see the assailant described as a stranger or unknown anywhere in the article. Maybe the victim knew the guy and thought it was safe.

  8. Even if you assume for the sake of argument that she consented to a gang bang, 100 lashes? Oil notwithstanding, the place needs to be nuked. It is a cancer on humanity.

  9. Could she have been a foreigner? A Journalist?

  10. And to think Mecca was once so much like Istanbul

  11. It’s little wonder Saudi Arabia exports terror to the world when they terrorize their own people so. Barbarians.

  12. cubanbob:

Don’t worry, a thorough nuking will leave much of the oil intact.

  13. I agree with Tantor: Saudi Arabia is run by barbarians. Someday they will get what’s coming to them.

  14. As long as there’s a “Saudi” in front of the word “Arabia,” there will be female persectutions. The saud royal men are perverts, corrupt kidnappers of the most extreme degree. That they persecute the women in their own country is not astounding, b/c they kidnap and persecute the women of other countries also. But the saud royals do not view Arabia as their country and neither do they feel any obligation to its citizenry. The Al Saud family views Arabia as merely a “home base,” a “headquarters” if you will, to execute their power over other countries, especially the USA. Abdullah has privately stated that he has the US by the tail, and it is the US that he wants power over, its economy, its energy, its infrastructure, and most importantly…its blue eyed women.

  15. This one article alone shows off your excellent writing skills. I am very impressed with your views and interesting content. I hope you intend to continue writing more informational articles. Really looking forward to read more!

  16. leasing to me if you hate Saudi Arabia, we are hate you because you are infidels and arrogant and you see us terrorists but the USA is a terrorists since ancient times we do not accept injustice and unjust .. The Saudi woman living in luxury and safety and maintenance of her honor and to avoid scratching her honor and I am a Saudi girl is very happy in my life because I am Muslim and wearing hijab and I live in a country of prosperity and hardship, luxury and security in a Saudi Arabia

    • Wbtesam ! Saudis are arrogant and racists.I know u people like my 5 fingers,U’r Islam is just a show and u implement sharia only when it benefits you.How you trouble poor expats in your country is not a mystery. Wearing hijab and then getting arse banged at home by hubby or driver, is mere hypocrisy .You are the people who have gone astray and Insha Allah if u will not repent Allah’s calamity is not far away.

  17. i guess when you look from the outside this is what you see, but really it not as bad as people say it is. Yes, women do not have the same rights as men, but women still have honor and a place they are not treated badly or like trash. They are respected. This might be one article about how this girl, who might have lied about the story, was treated unfairly and maybe this was not the whole story, but anyways this is just ONE article. Do you know how many stories there are of men who were found out to have rapped many women and how sever these men’s punishments were? im just trying to show you another side of this subject, you read this one article and your makeing judgments through it, but have you seen the other articles and stories that the men were punished in? and i PROMISE you that the number of cases that the men were actually punished are GREATER than the number of stories where the girl was blamed. i will not deny that some families do blame their girl, but these are not the educated elite side of the country. The people who blame the girl are the uneductaed low-side Barbarians, which hopefully over time will disappear. Yes, Saudi Arabia may have bad people which are ALWAYS the ones that end up everywhere on the net and TV but there are good people but unfortunatly they are the ones that blend in with the rest of the world that when you see them you dont know theyr saudi arabian therefore you only have these bad people as a main picture for all of the people in saudi arabian. i mean when i travel people think im spanish? (i dont wear a headscarve) and i have plenty of american, austrilian and friends from other countries and some of them thought the same thing about saudi arabian but when they meet me and actually new me they finally realized that like any other country there’s good and there’s bad, so dont judge the country through a picture or some writing “dont judge a book by its cover” trust me its not the way it looks. Saudi arabia is a country that is VERY slow in developing it takes a step forward and 3 backwards but its somehow twistdly on its way. Each country was once in a similar place as saudi arabia i mean once long ago women werent trated equally as men in america and europe but look at it now? that might be saudi arabia in the future…far ahead, so what if its REALLY late, its on it way. and dont give me ‘wer in the 21st centuary’ bullshit everyone has to start somewhere, and who cares if its 21st centuary not just becaue we have enernet, tv, laptops, and phones it means we have to all be the same. i mean if you put the enternet, tv and phones back when in america and eourope females werent trearetd equally to males would have these phones and tv and enetrnet change anythhing about the unequality between the sexs? no it wouldnt so why would it change things now? its just another country going through the same (a bit different) thing many other countries went through before. and might i just say that alot of things that happens in saudi arabia is blamed on religion while actually its just stupied traditions. Islam does not recommend terrorism its actually against it. but people use that as a “excuse”. there are many stereotypes, dont believe them. and this is just me trying to explain and show another side of this subject so dont start hateing cz i dont mean to be rude or mean this is just a friendly LONG pointer.

PS excuse my grammer and spelling i just finished my personal project essay so i really dont give a f*ck about my writing on a stupied site.

    • WELL I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES THEY DON’T HAVE MUCH MERCY , AND THEY WANT EVERYTHING TO GO THEIR WAY , AND IF YOU SPEAK THEY WILL TELL YOU TO SHUT UP . 20. Living in hell AKA "Saudi Arabia" says:

Excuse me “KSA Girl”, just because you have it easy doesn’t mean others do too. You don’t know how every women in Saudi Arabia lives! Most have no freedom or privacy. Pretty much everything there is banned for women… The royals/”goverment” STEALS the money that should go to the use of the country. and that alone shows how horrible of a country it is. And the worst thing is, you can’t even runaway from it. So many women here wish to runaway to another country. Because of overly strict parents or country in general. It is so suffocating to live like this. Having limited options of how to live your OWN damn life. Screw this country and screw everyone that says its so “amazing” and “beautiful”. For you and for this whole fucking country, I hold my middle finger high.

Btw, I wrote this because I’m so sick of people (who probably work for the goverment/scared to fucking death of them) describing it as a “glorious” country and treats the women with respect and honor. When the truth is, it’s just a fucked up country. And the absuloute WORST place for a women to live. One that enjoys her freedom and sanity anyways.

  21. My God how much i hate ksa ppl u guys disgust me

  22. I am a Saudi woman and I hate living here. This place is unhealthy for women or to raise kids. It’s hard to have healthy marriage here and it’s also so diffIcult to raise ur children believing on certain values not many share with u like respecting all religions and cultures.
The only thing I must say here plz don’t think that government represents people or that we are all the same. Many are like me and trying to inject positive cultural changes. It’s hurtful when I read people wishing to nuke this place though I fully get ur frustration but no matter how angry u are, u can’t be in pain more than us and we can’t wish this upon anyone.
Love to all and sweet kisses

  23. Jackson says:
