The young clerics are joining the revolution

A small tidbit I missed the first time around

A young cleric from the Shiite holy city of Qom addressed the crowd. "I
have come to bring you a message from Qom," he said. "Without a doubt,
all clerical scholars are against the current situation. The only
person acceptable to them is Mr. Mousavi, they have rejected Mr.
Ahmadinejad's request to meet them in the past two days."

Little by little!

The problem IS the clerics…I think the starting point for any “new persian dawn” will be to remove the clerics from power, disband the baseeki and morality police (incarcerate and forget a few thousand of them) and bring Iran to civilian democratic rule. If the idea of seperation of mosque and state can work, it will work in Iran…islam and persians are already like oil and water – they don’t mix well. The above is a selfish rant from a lebanese who sees the dismantling of the Iranian theocracy as the death knell for the hizbteezee in Lebanon and freedom for the oppressed lebanese shia.
